Our chapters in the U.S help us create awareness, and also raise funds by organizing local events. For example, distribute flyers at gatherings, setup booths at other local events, organize a local campaign etc. The list is endless, and so is our enthusiasm to help you get started.
Compile, edit and generate interesting newsletters on a quarterly basis for distribution to all our donors and other interested readers. Tasks include educating donors of CFC's mission, goals for the year, successes and challenges, progress in our core mission, highlighting schools or students and their successes, and collecting, collating, perhaps interviewing, volunteers, donors visiting schools, event leads for various events, etc. Interested? Charity Event Lead
Scourge the internet and other sources to research on charity events and fundraisers that are being conducted online and on-ground. Research on events such as Guidestar's annual fundraiser, Microsoft Charity Fundraiser, different philanthropic foundation events, United Way fundraisers, crowd funding, etc. will be needed and considered for possible participation. The goal is to maximize our fundraising potential through lookout for all opportunities out there. Interested? Let us know!

Time Estimate: 2-3 hours per week
Works with national Yogathon leads to plan, strategize, facilitate the organization of nationwide Yogathon Day events. The lead will work with other CareForChildren National Team members to obtain needed information that the Yogathon national leads will need. Providing information to other CareForChildren volunteers to update the website, adwords promotions, newsletter updates, donor/volunteer outreach for supporting Yogathon happening in their local city, etc. will be some of the activities for this lead. Also, the national Yogathon leads will depend on CareForChildren to help generate increasing interest in Yogathon in various cities as well as identifying leads in different cities who can lead their local Yogathon events. Fixing each year's Yogathon goals is also this lead's responsibility. Interested? Let us know!
Skills Needed: Planning, coordination, liaison ability, anticipating issues early and proactively resolving it to ensure smooth function.
Time Estimate: 2-3 hours per week (normal); 4-5 hours per week closer to the event date.
The responsibilities for this lead is to be the point person for all documents, collateral etc that need to be generated from time to time as different activities unfold. Activities could include specific event documents needed from the national team, fundraiser documents needed such as financials, non-profit letter, cover letters, CareForChildren summary/profile/progress letters, etc. For example: Varsha, a middle schooler in the Bay Area wants to organize a fundraiser for CFC in her school. To get approval, she needs a set of documents to be submitted to her school that showcases CareForChildren and highlights our mission, goals and accomplishments. Putting these together on a as-needed basis with latest figures and numbers in this lead's responsibility. Interested? Let us know!

Time Estimate: 3-4 hours per week
This lead's main role is to gather all the videos we have and generate awesome short videos to screen at different CareForChildren, Art of Living foundation and public events -for example at Guru Poornima, Advance courses, Yogathon events, Luncheons & Dandiya events, CareForChildren Facebook page, website, etc. The lead should have a keen marketing eye to understand, highlight and inspire through audio/video, our goals, accomplishments, the children and communities we serve and of course our shining volunteers.
